Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal by the Apache Stronghold seeking to block development of the Resolution Copper mine near the Town of Superior, Arizona.
This recent decision marks yet another important milestone for Resolution Copper, a high-value project sure to create immense economic opportunities for the Town of Superior and the entire Copper Triangle Region.
This mine is poised to potentially become North America’s largest copper mine, as it contains the third-largest known copper deposit globally and is estimated to produce 25% of all U.S. copper demand.
The next step in the development process is for the U.S. Forest Service to reissue the environmental impact statement, originally issued in January 2021, potentially allowing a Congress-approved land swap to proceed as early as June 16.
