September 15, 2025

On September 10, Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs and the Arizona Commerce Authority announced the opening of a new Arizona Trade and Investment office in Tokyo, Japan, the third of its kind in Asia, joining existing offices in Taiwan and the Republic of Korea.

The new office will strengthen economic collaboration, enhance the state’s global competitiveness in a region critical to technological innovation and expand foreign direct investment opportunities between Arizona and Japan—one of Arizona’s top trading partners.
