Arizona Designated an “Opportunity-Rich” State by Business Facilities

April 14, 2026

In the January/February 2026 issue of Business Facilities magazine, as part of the publication’s 2025 State of the Year evaluations, a total of 15 states have been recognized as “opportunity-rich” based on their notable programs and successes.

Arizona earned a spot on the 2025 list as the state’s economy reached record highs in capital investment and job creation. The Arizona Commerce Authority reports more than $31 billion in new investment and approximately 24,285 projected jobs for fiscal year 2025, with average wages near $96,000. Foreign direct investment remained strong, with over 100 projects in recent years totaling more than $35 billion and about 11,000 jobs.

The Town of Superior, located 40 minutes east of the Phoenix Metro Area, is home to several global and domestic employers, such as Imerys (France), Omya (Switzerland), Resolution Copper (U.K./Australia) and others contributing to a growing local employment base and the state’s gross domestic product.
