The Town of Superior Celebrates 2026 Economic Development Week

May 04, 2026

The International Economic Development Council’s (IEDC) Economic Development Week celebrates the immeasurable impact economic development organizations and professionals have in their communities. This year, May 4-8 marks Economic Development Week and has an added importance as it’s also IEDC’s centennial anniversary.

Join us in celebrating the milestones that shaped our community and the momentum driving us forward in Superior, AZ. Economic development plays a vital role in making Superior and communities across Arizona, the nation and the globe better places for people and business.

Superior’s economic development ecosystem is supported by Rebuild Superior, Inc., a nonprofit organization working on behalf of the Superior Town Government to help envision, plan for and execute business and economic development initiatives. Additionally, valuable workforce development programs offered via the Superior Enterprise Center, ARIZONA@WORK, Central Arizona College, Future48 Workforce Accelerators and others support and develop a skilled and talented local workforce, critical to Superior’s continued economic success.

Located 40 minutes east of the Phoenix Metro Area, Superior is home to several global and domestic employers, including Imerys (France), Omya (Switzerland), Resolution Copper (U.K./Australia) and others growing and supporting our local economy today and into the future.
