Superior Receives Arizona Travel Award for Innovative Marketing Campaign

July 15, 2026

The Town of Superior has received an award for its tourism marketing program. Presented by Cities West Media, the Arizona Travel Awards has returned for the third year, and Superior has been recognized with the small-market award for “Destination Marketing Campaign.”

Through its innovative “Expand Your Wonder” marketing campaign, Visit Superior, the Town’s tourism arm, took a refreshingly different approach to promoting itself. Rather than simply showcasing Superior’s many attractions, the campaign invited visitors to embrace a sense of curiosity and discovery. It encouraged travelers to explore scenic trails, connect with local artists by viewing and purchasing their work and create lasting memories throughout the community.

Drawing on extensive experience exploring the state’s diverse regions and hospitality industry, the independent panel of judges carefully evaluated the unique strengths, innovation and visitor appeal of destinations and businesses of all sizes to determine this year’s winners. The judges clearly saw what makes Superior unique and this latest recognition reflects the dedication and focus of the Town Government and its local partner organizations in promoting the community’s vibrant attractions.
