In Arizona, ARIZONA@WORK is the statewide workforce development network that helps employers of all sizes and types recruit, develop and retain the best employees for their needs. ARIZONA@WORK Pinal County, the Local Workforce Development Board charged with providing resources to assist individuals seeking various employment services, celebrated the official opening of its newest workforce “Access Point” at the Superior Enterprise Center.
This new Access Point serves the Town of Superior and surrounding communities with on-location resources utilizing computers and ARIZONA@WORK Pinal County-trained career coaches to assist jobseekers with resume writing assistance, job search assistance, career development coaching, identifying and removing barriers to employment, assistance with filing for Unemployment Insurance and many other related services.
Superior Mayor Mila Besich was joined by special guests the Hon. Jeff Serdy, Vice Chair of the Pinal County Board of Supervisors; Harold Christ, Chair of the Pinal County Workforce Development Board and Joel Millman, Director of Pinal County Economic and Workforce Development to cut the ribbon of this important workforce development resource.
The ARIZONA@WORK Pinal County Access Point at the Superior Enterprise Center augments the more than 20 public and private vocational training institutes, as well as high performing community colleges that offer customized training for business and industry, located in Pinal County and the Phoenix Metro Area. Companies located in Superior directly benefit from this wealth of industry-focused customized workforce development and training programs.
