Arizona Ranks #1 in 2025 Area Development Gold and Silver Shovel Awards

Each year, Area Development honors states that excel in attracting major economic development projects. Using data provided by state economic development agencies, they assess top projects based on criteria such as job creation, capital investment, industry diversity, and the strength of each state’s economic strategy. To ensure fair comparisons, Gold and Silver Shovel Awards are presented across five population categories.
