Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for New LOST Trailhead

Town of Superior officials joined Resolution Copper and Legends of Superior Trails (LOST) board members for a groundbreaking ceremony on December 4 to celebrate the construction of a new and improved trailhead parking area for the Queen Creek Canyon segment of the Legends of Superior Trail near Main Street.

Resolution Copper has provided funding for the project and construction will include a lighted, paved parking lot and improved drainage.

Superior Mayor Mila Besich shared, “This groundbreaking marks an exciting milestone for the Legends of Superior Trails and the entire Superior community,” said Bryan Seppala, Principal Advisor, Economic Development and Social Investment, Resolution Copper. “The new Queen Creek Canyon Trailhead parking lot will enhance safety, improve access, and support outdoor recreation. We’re proud to partner with the Town of Superior on this project and invest in sustainable community initiatives.”
