Mesa Gateway Airport Sets New Passenger Traffic and Revenue Record

Just a short drive from Superior, Mesa Gateway Airport, known as Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport prior to January 2025, serves as the East Valley’s reliever airport for Phoenix Sky Harbor International and just wrapped up its most successful year yet in terms of passenger traffic and revenue.

During the 2024–25 fiscal year—spanning July 2024 through June 2025—the airport welcomed 2 million passengers, a 9% increase over the previous year. This new milestone breaks the previous record of 1.9 million passengers set in 2021–22.

Some key accomplishments of the last fiscal year include:

  • Record traffic of 2 million passengers
  • Record operating revenue of $35.8 million
  • Record net income of $5.4 million
  • Record fuel sales of $10.1 million
  • Record vehicle parking revenue of $5.5 million
